Challenge
The primary challenge for the Animated 88 Rising Poster was to create a seamlessly animated transition between Joji's Nectar and Rich Brian's Brightside album posters. Each poster needed to encapsulate the essence of the respective albums, displaying song details, release dates, and artist information. Maintaining smooth transitions between the two distinct colour themes, red for Joji and yellow for Rich Brian, required meticulous attention to detail to ensure a polished and professional outcome.
Goal
The overarching goal was to craft an animated poster that not only celebrated the musical prowess of Joji and Rich Brian but also visually connected their albums through seamless transitions. By incorporating album details, release dates, and artist information into the animation, the project aimed to create an immersive experience for viewers. The distinctive red and yellow color themes were chosen to mirror the aesthetics of Joji's Nectar and Rich Brian's Brightside albums, respectively.
Solution
The solution involved a meticulous design process in Illustrator followed by dynamic animation in After Effects. The seamless transition between Joji's and Rich Brian's posters was achieved by harmonizing the color themes and maintaining consistency in displaying album information. The animation not only covered essential details but also added a layer of visual appeal, ensuring a smooth and professional representation of 88 Rising's celebrated artists and their iconic albums.
